Design Analysis for Manufacturing and Assembly
Let Palantir help you to review your designs and components and recommend alternate more economical methods for fabrication and assembly.  Costs can be drastically reduced and performance increased depending on type of materials and manufacturing processes used.  Making parts more efficiently and economically is only gets you halfway home, at Palantir we can help review mechanisms for more practical methods of assembly using conventional or automated processes.
 
FEA Analysis
Knowing how a component or assembly will perform mechanically, long before it's ever actually manufactured is a very important part of today's engineering world.  Many hours of design and fabricated design mock-ups can be eliminated just from having the ability to do analysis before parts are ever made.  At Palantir we use the latest in FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to help review and recommend critical design parameters through the use of COSMOS FEA.  COSMOS is one of today's leading FEA packages that integrates seamlessly with Solidworks and in conjunction with AutoCAD or any of several other leading CAD packages.  The following is just a short list of the design properties of parts or assemblies that can be analyzed at Palantir:
            Static Linear Mechanical Analysis (Stress, Displacement, Deformation, etc.)
      Frequency Buckling (Vibration, Buckling, Pressure forces)
            Thermal Analysis (Conduction, Convection, Steady State, and Radiation heat transfer)

Tolerance Stack Analysis to Drive GD&T
Ever wonder what those goofy symbols and boxes actually mean and how the values were determined?  Many engineers use a common set of tolerance blocks and standards to define how a part should be made and often times incorrectly use them in ways there were not intended.  At Palantir, we can help you establish the correct tolerances you need by producing a Tolerance Stack Analysis for your assemblies and mechanisms.  Derived by using COSMOS (mentioned above), you can actually "see" how tolerances limits are established and how they can be practically distributed among individual parts and refined to help with manufacturing methods.
